Dr. Omar De La Cruz received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Business Administration from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. He later received his Doctor of Optometry degree in 2008 from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania. During his externships he had extensive training in glaucoma, ocular disease, inflammation, and trauma. Dr. De La Cruz also received training in low vision at the William Feinbloom Vision Rehabilitation Center at the The Eye Institute of Philadelphia.
Dr. De La Cruz has cared for patients of all ages in Laredo, TX since 2008. He has extensive experience in family eye care, including dry eye management, computer vision problem-solving, pediatric eye examination, contact lens fitting, adult eye care, eye surgery- co management, glaucoma, and diabetic eye exams.
Texas State licensed certified in therapeutic optometry and an optometric glaucoma specialist, Dr. De La Cruz’s training and experience allow him to diagnose, treat, and manage or co-manage all eye conditions. He works closely with local eye specialists and surgeons in order to help guide his patients to the best care in the South Texas and surrounding areas.
Dr. De La Cruz is a member of the American Optometric Association, Texas Optometric Association, and the Border Optometric Society. Dr. De La Cruz include enjoys spending time with his family and traveling.
